Foremore Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is to vary licence serial number SW/052/0010/004/R01 which authorises the abstraction of water from underground strata comprising Black Rock Limestone at Cross Farm, Shepton Mallet for the purpose of agriculture other than spray irrigation at National Grid Reference ST 57130 42850.
The proposed variation aims to add the purposes of animal watering, domestic purposes and general or process washing. The application also requests an increase in the existing licensed abstraction quantities to:
