Frank Green, Joan Green and Mark Green of FM Green has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number WA/055/0019/010 which authorises the abstraction of water from the Gamber river at National Grid Reference SO 50837 24617.

The proposal is for 18,000 cubic meters per year, 960 cubic meters per day and 40 cubic meters per hour at an instantaneous rate of 12 liters per second for the purpose of storage for subsequent trickle irrigation between 1 November and 31 March inclusive. The annual quantity will be aggregated to the existing 18,000 cubic meters per year authorised for direct trickle irrigation between 1 May and 30 September inclusive.

The proposed abstraction lies within the Lower Wye Catchment.
