Thank you for your email of 02 November 2021, which has been passed to the Commission on Human Medicines (CHM) Secretariat team for reply.
In your email you ask for information about ‘advisers to the MHRA who were awarded grants by pharmaceutical companies during the period 2018-2021’. It may be helpful if I explain that the CHM is an advisory body set up to advise Ministers and the MHRA on the safety, efficacy and quality of medicinal products.
The CHM has a Code of Practice (available at this link) which sets out the rules to follow for declaring interests to ensure impartiality. In the interest of transparency and accountability, all members’ declarations of interests are published annually in the Human Medicines Regulations 2012 Advisory Bodies Annual Report.
