The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is responsible for food safety and food hygiene in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Therefore, FSA would need to be contacted regarding restriction or ban of ingredients in food supplements.

The MHRA’s remit is limited to the regulation of medicines, medical devices and blood components for transfusion in the UK.
The below links include the Final determinations and 165 Notices issued for products containing St John’s wort.
