Mr Freeman left his role at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology in November 2023.

Chair of Science and Technology Advisory Board, Eastern Powerhouse

Mr Freeman sought the Committee’s advice about taking up a role with Eastern Powerhouse. The letter containing the Committee’s consideration and the conditions imposed on the appointment was sent in March 2024; and the appointment was taken up later that month.
