Future Water MJJV Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata at National Grid Reference SU 71 09.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
For the purpose of dewatering:

967 cubic metres a day

310,077 cubic metres a year

between 01 March and 31 October inclusive in each year
For the purpose of dust suppression:

200 cubic metres a day

For the purpose of process water:

100 cubic metres a day

The water will be used for dewatering from the site, for dust suppression, and for rewetting material used in the construction.
Further details are: All water abstracted for dewatering, minus water used for dust suppression and process water and evaporative losses will be returned to the watercourse downstream of the site.
