Read Excise Notice 458: Lottery Duty before completing the form.
To register as a lottery promoter (but not as an agent):
- use the online service
- fill in the form on-screen, print it off and post it to HMRC
If you do not have a Government Gateway user ID and password, you can create a user ID when you register.
Partnerships or corporate bodies that apply will need to provide details of their partners and directors.
If you hold a promoter’s license under section 5 of the National Lottery Act 1993, you should upload a copy of this as an attachment to the form.
You’ll get a reference number if you use the online service. Use this to track the progress of your form.
Email HMRC to ask for this form in Welsh (Cymraeg).
