Details

This publication sets out rules which all awarding organisations must follow. It also sets out rules for all qualifications.

Some qualifications also have extra rules.

  1. Document withdrawn as it has been superseded by the Ofqual Handbook.

  2. Introduced revised rules following consultation on additional safeguards when teachers are in involved in developing confidential assessment materials.

  3. New version (replaces Ofqual/15/5772) which introduces a new rule (Condition D9) allowing us to enforce requirements we set when a qualification's accreditation ends. It also includes minor changes reflecting the end of our role regulating vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.
