This guidance will assist your understanding of the regulations and includes obligations for producers and distributors.
The regulations require all consumer products to be safe in their normal or reasonably foreseeable usage.
In Northern Ireland, the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 were superseded on 13 December 2024 by the EU Regulation on general product safety 2023/988.
