Geoffrey Robert Clifton-Brown has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 8 of The Water Abstraction (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2017.
The Environment Agency has received the following abstraction licence application within the Broadland Rivers catchment.
The application is to vary a licence to abstract water as follows:
- at an instantaneous rate of 22.8 litres per second
- 83 cubic metres an hour
- 1,642 cubic metres a day
- 18,400 cubic metres a year
- between April to September inclusive
- at National Grid References (NGR) TG 16038 39884, TG 16041 39886, TG 16092 39815 & TG 16095 39818
- from abstraction location Chalk aquifer at East Beckham Produce, East Beckham.
The water will be used for Trickle Irrigation – Direct.
