To get proof that police, doctors and social services have set up a MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) plan to protect you from abuse:
- Have the attached letter completed
- Send it to a member of your MARAC or other local safeguarding forum
You can use the evidence of the plan when you apply for legal aid to divorce or separate from an abusive partner.
If you’re a member of a MARAC dealing with victims of domestic violence, you can adapt this sample letter to respond to requests for evidence of a protection plan.
You need to give evidence when victims of domestic violence apply for legal aid.
