Details

This scheme is an opportunity for cities to cultivate a regional, national and international reputation for their uptake of ultra low emission vehicles (ULEVs).

The positive consequences of each bid should include:

  • improved local air quality
  • reduction in carbon emissions
  • creation of ULEV-related growth opportunities for businesses both in the local area and beyond

The scheme will be run as a competition, with up to £35 million made available for 2 to 4 cities to win through bidding process.
