Details

Government Skills, previously the Government Skills and Curriculum unit was established in September 2020 to improve the capabilities of civil servants. It is building a new Campus for government training, on and offline, defining the required skills and knowledge, from foundation to specialist. There will be more emphasis on understanding and using data, getting the basics right and ensuring those who manage complex projects and public services are equipped to succeed. This will equip civil servants to deliver the best possible public services, and build back stronger, fairer, safer and greener.

The Evaluation Strategy outlines Government Skills intended approach to evaluating the Government Campus, and how we will deliver it. It sets out both a long-term ambition to transform the way that we use evaluation and research to inform our decision-making, and the steps we will specifically be taking over the next 3 years to set that transformation in motion.
