This document sets out the government’s response to recommendations following an independent review which was commissioned to assess current governance arrangements for UK civil flying display safety.

Background to the review

Following the fatal accident at Shoreham Airshow the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) recommended that the Department for Transport (DfT) commissioned an independent review of the governance of flying display activity in the UK (PDF, 29MB).
