Details

The Office for Budget Responsibility published its Fiscal Risks and Sustainability Report on 7 July 2022, which brought together the previously separate risks and sustainability reports for the first time. The report focused on three sources of potential fiscal risk: geopolitical tensions, higher energy prices, and long-term fiscal pressures. The government’s response outlines the actions the government is taking around these sources of risk to ensure that the public finances remain sustainable and resilient to future shocks. These actions will support the Prime Minister’s priority to get debt falling to secure the future of public services.
