This document sets out the government’s response to the Climate Change Committee’s (CCC’s) 2023 report on progress in adapting to climate change and its recommendations on adaptation. 

The government’s response sets out:

  • detailed responses to each of the CCC’s 94 recommendations, including the priority recommendations identified by the CCC 
  • areas where progress has been made to adapt to climate risks over the last 2 years

This response should be read alongside the government response to the CCC 2023 progress report on reducing emissions.
