Details

In November 2024 the Office for Environmental Protection (OEP) published its review of the implementation of the Bathing Water Regulations in England.

Under section 29 of the Environment Act 2021, the government is required to respond to this review.

The OEP review contains recommendations for how implementation of the regulations could be improved. We have set out our response to address each recommendation.
