Details

During 2012 to 2013 the Department of Health made grants totalling £2.1m to organisations under the provisions of the Charities Act 2006. Section 70 of the Charities Act 2006 enables the provision of financial assistance to charitable, benevolent or philanthropic institutions.

This spending does not represent the total amount of grant funding provided to the voluntary and community sector. Other grants have also been paid under other legislation.
