Greater Lincolnshire devolution deal

This document sets out a devolution agreement giving the proposed Greater Lincolnshire Combined Authority greater control over transport, skills, planning and other areas.

This devolution deal was agreed between government and the local authorities of Greater Lincolnshire in 2016 but was not taken forward to implementation.

A new devolution deal was agreed between government, Lincolnshire County Council, North East Lincolnshire, and North Lincolnshire Council in 2023.

Details

The Chancellor announced the Greater Lincolnshire Combined Authority devolution agreement on 16 March 2016.

This will give Greater Lincolnshire significant new powers over transport, planning and skills.

Greater Lincolnshire will also receive control of a £450 million investment fund over 30 years to boost economic growth.
