Green Home Finance Accelerator: Pilot Phase projects

Details

Update: 12 March 2024

The Green Home Finance Accelerator: Pilot Phase awarded £15,370,414.69 grant funding to 13 projects across Great Britain.

All Pilot Phase projects will develop and pilot their innovative green finance products with homeowners across the UK until February 2025.

The Green Home Finance Accelerator (GHFA) Pilot Phase provided grant funding to support UK finance providers and other organisations which participated in the GHFA Discovery Phase to pilot a diverse range of innovative finance propositions which encourage domestic energy efficiency, low carbon heating and micro-generation retrofit.

Projects funded at Pilot stage were expected to contribute toward achieving each of the following GHFA programme objectives:

  • pilot one or more innovative green finance products that enable home energy efficiency, low carbon heating, and/or micro-generation improvements
  • develop capability among finance providers in the design, development, and commercialisation of green finance products
  • develop partnerships between lenders, investors, energy efficiency, low carbon heating, micro-generation and property value supply chains
  • investigate and understand the consumer barriers and motivators for energy efficiency, low carbon heating and micro-generation investment
  • help to reduce consumer barriers to finance domestic low carbon heating, energy efficiency, and micro-generation measures
  • establish an evidence base to enable effective design and development of further green finance propositions and inform future policy development

The Pilot Phase was limited to those applicants who participated in the GHFA Discovery Phase.
