This guidance is longer in force as of Saturday the 3rd of February 2024 when the Northern Ireland Executive was restored.

The Secretary of State has published guidance which is intended to support Northern Ireland departments in taking decisions in the absence of a functioning Northern Ireland Executive. This replaces guidance previously published on 19 December 2022 (“Guidance on decision-making for Northern Ireland Departments 2022”).
