The guidance explains the role of the Office for the Internal Market (OIM) that has been created to carry out independent advice, monitoring and reporting in support of the effective operation of the UK internal market following the return of powers from the EU to the UK Government and Devolved Administrations.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) consulted on guidance on its UK internal market functions. The OIM has been set up within the CMA to carry out these functions.
The consultation ran for 8 weeks, from 27 May 2021 to 22 July 2021. For more information about the consultation, visit the Draft Guidance on the Operation of the CMA’s UK Internal Market Functions page.
