About the Immigration Advice Authority’s rebrand and transformation

Published 16 January 2025

1. General guidance

1.1 1.1 Why has the organisation undergone a rebrand?

A: Immigration is a top priority for the UK government, and with an increased demand in services, the IAA needs to build on the work of the OISC to enhance its capacity, increase public trust, and better serve those seeking immigration advice. Our new brand identity will reflect our bolder, more ambitious plans, add clarity to who we are, and demonstrate our threefold approach as an organisation that achieves its mission through regulation, enforcement and promoting best practice.

1.2 1.2 What exactly has changed as part of the rebrand?

The rebrand will make our services more accessible and easier to understand, featuring an improved website, clearer communications, and user-friendly tools designed to enhance the experience for both immigration advisers and advice seekers. We’ve developed a new logo, branding, vision, mission, and values, all shaped by insights from advisers, stakeholders, and advice seekers. With a refreshed leadership structure, a strengthened workforce, and improved processes, the IAA is dedicated to growth, transformation, and ensuring the delivery of reliable immigration advice.

1.3 1.3 What are the benefits of the rebrand for the public?

The IAA will have three distinct roles: as regulator, will offer invaluable regulation of advice services; as enforcer, will disrupt illegal activity with targeted enforcement; and as promotor of best practice, we will enhance activity across the sector through comprehensive guidance, support and engagement. This approach will have significant benefits for those seeking advice, for professional advisers, and for the wider immigration system.

1.4 1.4 Is there any cost to taxpayers for this rebrand?

The rebrand has been carefully managed within our existing budget, with no additional cost to taxpayers. We prioritised efficiency and ensured that the rebrand was carried out in a cost-effective way.

1.5 1.5 Does the rebrand affect any immigration policies or procedures?

No, the IAA is responsible for ensuring that immigration advice is provided only by qualified organisations and individuals, and for investigating and prosecuting those who provide immigration advice illegally. The organisation is not responsible for immigration policies or procedures.

1.6 1.6 Will the contact details for the organisation change?

Yes, our contact details will change and are available on the how to contact the IAA page of our website. All our communications will now feature the new branding and IAA logo. Please note, our phone number remains the same.

###1.7 How will I know if communications from the organisation are legitimate with the new branding?
Official communications will display the new branding and come from our verified contact details which can be found on the website. All email addresses will use the gov.uk domain. If you are concerned, you can contact us directly to verify the legitimacy of any communication.

1.7 1.8 How can I learn more about the rebrand?

You can visit our new website, where we have provided detailed information about the rebrand and our new visual identity. Additionally, our social media channels will share updates and news related to the rebrand.

No, you don’t need to take any action, all services will continue as normal without requiring additional steps from you.
