This guide provides a brief overview of the contributory factors data recorded as part of the STATS19 data collection, including things to be aware of when interpreting the data tables, and information relating to the completeness of the data.

The guide focuses on contributory factors, which to the end of 2023 make up most of the recorded data, but also references the new road safety factors which will be collected in future.

The guide covers:
