This guide explains the policies and procedures involved in running an MOT centre for HGVs, trailers, buses and coaches including:

  • your roles and responsibilities
  • how you’ll work with DVSA
  • booking DVSA assessors
  • health and safety requirements
  • managing your pre-funded account
  • preparing your site and test area for tests
  • test and pit fees

You need to apply to make changes to your test centre if you want to change your site manager, operating hours, vehicle classes, or other details about your ATF.
