Guidelines to help investigation agencies and individual investigators monitor, document and investigate sexual and gender-based violence against men and boys that may amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide and other egregious violations of international humanitarian, criminal and human-rights law (‘egregious violations’).

The guidelines are designed to complement existing relevant investigation frameworks and practices, including those that currently focus on conflict-related sexual and gender-based violence against women and girls or children.
