Details
The documents set out the government’s plan of actions to deal with hate crime until 2020. The action plan applies to England and Wales only.
These documents have been updated, in line with the commitment the government made in the July 2016 hate crime action plan, to:
- review the action plan in 2018
- report on progress
- ensure that the action plan remains fit for purpose
It outlines actions the government will take to:
- prevent hate crime
- respond to hate crime
- increase reporting of hate crimes
- improve support for victims
- build an understanding of hate crime
You can also read “Action against hate: the UK government’s plan for tackling hate crime – two years on”, an overview of progress so far. A thematic review of current evidence is also available.
A Welsh translation of “Action against hate: the UK government’s plan for tackling hate crime – two years on”, will be available shortly.
