Details

The Act falls into 3 main parts:

• Part 1: quality and delivery of NHS services in England
• Part 2: powers in relation to health bodies
• Part 3: miscellaneous provisions

This memorandum reports on the whether the objectives for each part of the Health Act 2009 were met.

Broadly speaking, the Act achieved its objectives, although some of its provisions have since been modified by later Acts.
