Details

In September 2017, the government published a draft Health Service Safety Investigations Bill. The draft bill proposes setting up the Health Service Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB).

A joint committee of MPs and peers scrutinised the draft bill and published their recommendations. The government published its response to the joint committee’s recommendations.

On 16 October 2019 the government introduced to Parliament the Health Service Safety Investigations Bill.
