This report includes findings from a research project commissioned by the department into the experiences of consumers and operators of heat networks. The research, conducted by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, involved interviews and focus groups with heat network consumers, alongside interviews with operators of heat networks.
The findings supplement the Heat Networks Consumer Survey: consumer experiences on heat networks and other heating systems that was published in December 2017.
The evidence within this research will be used to inform work on a future market framework for heat networks and has been published alongside the document Heat Networks: ensuring sustained investment and protecting consumers.
