Details

The overall purpose of the research is to investigate the scenarios to which heat pumps can be integrated in to heat networks and to determine performance in terms of cost, energy and CO2 emissions.

The work included collecting data from existing relevant systems, detailing interesting case studies from the UK and Europe, developing a numerical heat network model to run different scenarios in which heat pumps can be utilised and analysing the results of these simulations.
