Details

This prospectus invites groups of local authorities to bid for up to £250,000 over (2014 to 2015 and 2015 to 2016) to help prevent single homelessness.

The funding is intended to give local authorities the resources to work with partners such as health and probation services and Jobcentre Plus; and the space to innovate to improve services for those who would not be eligible for the main homelessness duty (primarily single people without dependents).

The help for single homeless scheme was launched on 10 June 2014. Up to £8 million is available over 2 years (up to £3 million in 2014 to 2015 and up to £5 million in 2015 to 2016). There will be 1 bidding round.

The deadline for submitting bids is 5pm 8 August 2014.
