Immunisation against infectious disease: ‘The Green Book’ no longer recommends additional Hib/MenC vaccine for risk groups. From 1 August 2020, please refer to the Hib/MenC PGD for administration of Hib/MenC vaccine in accordance with national recommendations.

Details

This patient group direction (PGD) template supports the provision of additional Haemophilus influenzae type b and meningococcal C conjugate vaccine doses to individuals with underlying medical conditions from 2 years of age.

It is valid from 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2020.

Practitioners must not use this PGD template until it has been authorised in Section 2. This is a legal requirement (see Human Medicines Regulations 2012). Practitioners should follow local policy/procedures to access authorised PGD documents.

This PGD template should be used with reference to current national guidance, the Green Book, and Summary of Product Characteristics for the vaccine.
