This briefing explains the operational activity that HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is undertaking following the new independent review of the Loan Charge for customers who have used disguised remuneration tax avoidance arrangements.
In addition, the technical note provides further details on how it is intended that the settlement opportunity will be implemented, based on the government’s response to the review and legislation now published in the Finance Bill.
