  1. What emergency funding does the Home Office provide for police forces who find themselves dealing with extra-ordinary events.(Context: an event such as the London riots, where additional resources are needed to restore public order/uphold the law).

  2. If such funding is available, what is the process that police forces need to use to attain such funding and what is the standard timescale for approval.

  3. The details of Forces who have applied for a grant including the name of the Force, when, why and how much they applied for, how much was provided and wether they were succeful, inluding the reason if they were not.
