Details

On 18 August 2016 the Communities and Local Government Committee of the House of Commons issued a report on their inquiry into the causes of homelessness as well as the approaches taken by national and local government to prevent and tackle homelessness.

The Committee also undertook pre-legislative scrutiny on Bob Blackman’s Private Members’ Bill, the Homelessness Reduction Bill. The Committee published its report on the Bill on 14 October 2016.

This is the government’s response to both reports, addressing the recommendations to government.
