Details

The £20 million Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer Areas programme was created to help local authorities and their partners develop and implement innovative approaches to homelessness prevention.

ICF with Bryson Purdon Social Research were commissioned to undertake an independent evaluation of the first year of Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer activity to provide evidence on what works and good practice on how to design and deliver homelessness prevention activities. The final evaluation report includes:

  • a rapid evidence assessment on approaches to homelessness prevention
  • a review of the trailblazer funding applications
  • qualitative case studies with 6 trailblazer areas
  • an impact evaluation of trailblazer prevention activity on reducing levels of homelessness
