DLUHC is pleased to announce Year 3 (2023/24) Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Grant funding of £2.6 million for 47 national (UK wide) and regional (England only) projects.
Civil society groups will start to deliver their projects from July 2023, completing delivery in March 2024, providing support and helping Hong Kong BN(O)s settle into their new life in the UK.
All awarded projects target one or more of the following support areas: English language skills, access to employment, access to mental or physical health services, support for access to housing, destitution support, integration support as well as support for groups including children, young people and the elderly.
Additional support available via Strategic Migration Partnership (SMPs) Welcome Hubs.
A network of ‘Hong Kong Welcome Hubs’ has been set up across the UK. These are hosted by existing ‘Strategic Migration Partnerships’ (SMPs). There are 12 SMPs across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland (please see the map below). SMPs have a coordinating and supporting role in delivering key national priorities on migration across the UK and play an integral role in the delivery of the Hong Kong UK Welcome Programme and VCSE projects.
