Introduction
1. The Ministry of Defence announced the new 2020 to 2021 War Pensions rates on 30 January 2020. The rates are set out in the Annex.
2. The annual uprating of War Pensions and allowances for 2020 to 2021 will take place from week beginning 6 April 2020. The effective date of change will be the following Monday 13 April 2020.
3. Rates for 2020 to 2021 are increasing by 1.7% in line with the September 2019 Consumer Price Index.
4. Additional information can be obtained from the Veterans UK pages on www.gov.uk.
5. Circular HB A1/2020 (2nd Revision) provides full details of all social security benefit rates that will apply from April 2020.
