Details

Paper presented by group of academics on how long vaccines will protect against COVID-19. It was considered at SAGE 94 on 7 July 2021.

The paper is the assessment of the evidence at the time of writing. As new evidence or data emerges, SAGE updates its advice accordingly.

These documents are released as pre-print publications that have provided the government with rapid evidence during an emergency. These documents have not been peer-reviewed and there is no restriction on authors submitting and publishing this evidence in peer-reviewed journals.

This paper was updated after SAGE 94 to remove preliminary low-confidence data from Public Health England that will be updated later in summer. This data and a subsequent version of the paper are planned to go to SAGE and will then be published.
