Details

The General Vesting Declarations (GVD) are prepared under compulsory purchase powers granted to the Secretary of State for Transport under Section 4 of the High Speed Rail (West Midlands – Crewe) Act 2021.

Ownership of the land defined in the GVD will transfer to the Secretary of State for Transport on the vesting date. You can find additional information on compulsory purchase and compensation to landowners in our compulsory purchase system guidance.
