Phase 2b Economic Case

PLANET Framework Model Description

Details

The High Speed Two (HS2) economic case provides HS2 Ltd’s advice to government and supports the DfT economic case for building the Phase 2b part of the high speed route from Crewe to Manchester and the West Midlands to Leeds.

It is part of a suite of documents that set out the case for building Phase 2b, with the overall plan to build the whole HS2 network by 2033.

It presents an update to the case for the full network (Phase One and Phase Two) and the case for building the Phase 2b part of the high speed route as an additional investment decision to Phase One and 2a.

It also shows how the case for HS2 is robust to a number of alternative scenarios.

This is supported by a suite of more detailed documents that detail the modelling and analysis that has informed that economic case.
