The Human Tissue Authority was established in April 2005, under the Human Tissue Act 2004, to regulate the removal, storage, use and disposal of human bodies, organs and tissue for a number of ‘Scheduled Purposes’ such as research, transplantation, and education and training.
This paper was laid before Parliament in response to a legislative requirement or as a Return to an Address and was ordered to be printed by the House of Commons.
