Details

This joint declaration of intent was signed on 26 September 2023 at the UK Embassy in Berlin, by Minister for Energy Efficiency and Green Finance Lord Callanan and Federal Republic of Germany’s State Secretary for Energy Philip Nimmermann.

It will see the UK and Germany work together to underpin the international trade in hydrogen. The partnership will focus on:

  • accelerating the deployment of hydrogen projects
  • establishing international leadership on hydrogen markets
  • advancing research and innovation
  • promoting hydrogen trade and investment along the value chain
  • joint market analysis for planning and investment
