The 2008 to 2011 AVR expenditure figures include both Home Office spend and EU Funding contributions and it is not possible to disaggregate these figures. Due to changes in the financial reporting mechanisms the 2011-13 AVR expenditure figures only relate to the Home Office spend.
These figures include the total costs of the PER and AVR removals schemes and include re-integration assistance, flight costs and running costs. The Home Office also receives funding from the European Union for its removals programmes.
