In recent weeks the Parole Board has followed government advice as to whether Parole board hearings remain tenable.

That guidance has changed over the weekend. Social distancing, not going out, and self-isolation is key to tackling coronavirus.

The Parole Board has therefore made the difficult decision to postpone all face to face hearings with immediate effect. Members are being contacted as a matter of urgency.

The health and wellbeing of our members, staff and participants in the parole system must come first.

Whilst Parole Board current face to face hearings are paused. The board will progress cases through a combination of remote hearings and a new intensive paper review process, combined where necessary with case management hearings.
