Study analysing existing survey data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) and Understanding Society (USoc) to better understand the health profile of the population aged 50 and over and the impact on travel behaviour.
Five different measures of health with the potential to impact on travel were examined:
- health conditions such as arthritis, cancer, diabetes
- impairments or disabilities such as issues with mobility, sight, hearing
- difficulties with daily activities
- use of mobility aids
- self-reported health
