In its November 2010 response to the House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committee’s report Radioactive Waste Management: a Further Update (March 2010), the Government committed to producing an annual report to Parliament, setting out the Government’s progress in relation to the management of higher activity radioactive waste. This is the fourth annual report.

This 4th annual report sets out some of the context, explaining the background to the Geological Disposal Programme as well as covering progress between April 2013 and March 2014, publication of the United Kingdom Radioactive Waste & Materials Inventory 2013 and international developments.
