Aluminium converter foil from China (anti-dumping duty 2442)

The Commission has announced in the Official Journal ref. 2020/C 352 I/01 dated 22 October 2020, the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of aluminium converter foil, originating in the People’s Republic of China.
1. Product under investigation
Aluminium converter foil of a thickness of less than 0.021 mm which are:
- not backed
- not further worked than rolled
- in rolls of a weight exceeding 10 kg
The product under investigation is classified within TARIC codes:
- 7607 1119 60
- 7607 1119 91
2. Excluded products
Aluminium household foil of a thickness of not less than 0.008 mm and not more than 0.018 mm which are:
- not backed
- not further worked than rolled
- in rolls of a width not exceeding 650 mm and of a weight exceeding 10 kg
Aluminium household foil of a thickness of not less than 0.007 mm and less than 0.008 mm
- regardless of the width of the rolls
- whether or not annealed
Aluminium household foil of a thickness of more than 0.018 mm and less than 0.021 mm which are:
- regardless of the width of the rolls
- whether or not annealed
2.1 Further information
This investigation could result in provisional anti-dumping duty being imposed within 7 to 8 months and definitive anti-dumping duty in 13 to 14 months.
