The Environment Agency gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on the River Don in Thorne between Jubilee Bridge (NGR SE6739514808) and Blackshaw Dike (NGR SE6722615718), a distance of 1 kilometre. The proposed improvement works will involve the following:
- repair the existing flood defence which has suffered from vermin and vegetation damage
The works will last for approximately 2 months and will be carried out between April 2015 and October 2015.
The Environment Agency considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them.
